…then wear it, love it and buy it at the Malaysia International Shoe Festival (MISF) 2015!

“The shoe – there is a music to it, there is attitude, there is sound, it’s a movement,” said famed French footwear designer Christian Louboutin, and it’s certainly a quote close to the heart of MISF.

Held in conjunction with the 1Malaysia GP Sale, the spacious Hall 6 of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will play host to the sixth incarnation of the ASEAN region’s biggest shoe event, with over 100 booths showcasing everything from stilettos and sandals to sneakers and slippers designed by local and international brands alike.

Past Malaysian recordbreaking highlights of MISF include the largest chocolate nyonya shoe in 2011; a tigermotif shoe that became the ‘Biggest Shoe House Replica’ in 2012; the largest shoelace sculpture (40,000 laces, to be exact) in 2013; and the largest shoe box ever created in 2014.

Though all tough acts to follow, MISF 2015 is set to rise to the challenge with a new theme – ‘Stylish Chic’ – and a host of new activities including the Killer Heels Display, which showcases the extreme entries for the Killer Heels Competition, and a threeminute video competition that spotlights the sacred shoe over many film genres.

Fashion shows are a guarantee with top Malaysian designers showing off their creations and the Kuala Lumpur branch of ESMOD, the world’s first fashion design school, presenting a cross fashion show with the latest collections from MISF 2015 exhibitors.

It is impossible to talk about Malaysian shoe design without mentioning the legendary Prof. Datuk Dr Jimmy Choo, a long-time supporter of MISF whose celebrated creations have won worldwide acclaim, and this year’s event will see his personal shoe collection on display!

Also not to be missed is Malaysia’s New York-based fashion icon, Datuk Zang Toi, who will showcase his 2015 Autumn/Winter collection and receive the MISF Tourism Special Recognition Award.

With amazing discounts, unique styles and exciting activities, shoe lovers can satisfy all their footwear fancies with MISF 2015. Don’t drag your feet – start walking!
