Being a gigantic limestone mass, the Batu Caves hill is actually a stellar venue for rock climbing, and there are local outfits that are more than happy to furnish you with an opportunity to give this challenging sport a go on the crags. It doesn’t matter if you have zero experience or think that the intro to Mission Impossible 2 is child’s play, they’ve got you covered. Speaking of children, youngsters as young as five can also participate, making it an ideal family outing. Just check your inhibitions at the bottom and prepare to have fun!

There are other notable sites near Batu Caves where you can get your adrenaline fix as well. The fringe of the Selangor State Park is a handful of kilometres away for example, containing within it numerous exciting hiking and outdoor hotspots, such as FRIM, Bukit Lagong, and Hutan Lipur Sungai Tua. The Batu Dam is another attraction to visit – aside from stunning scenery, there are plenty of activities to partake in including mountain biking and kayaking!
